equipment. Communications wiring shall be run in raceways in areas subject to
damage, such as in walls or in unfinished areas. Other areas (above ceilings) may not
Review security/privacy/interference issues with the user/operator to determine if
multiple communications (low voltage) systems can be installed in the same conduit.
Sustainable facilities achieve optimum resource efficiency and constructability while minimizing
adverse impacts to the built and natural environments through all phases of its life cycle. The goals
of sustainable development are to conserve energy, water, and raw materials; prevent
environmental degradation caused by construction, operations, and disposal of facilities; and create
built environments which are livable, healthy, maintainable, and productive. These goals are
compatible with providing a desirable and economically viable recreation facility.
6-4.1 Sustainable Goal
The Golf Clubhouse will incorporate the principals of sustainable design in the development
of the design. Guidance is provided by the US Green Building Council
(http://www.usgbc.org) in its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green
Building rating system. The design will achieve the highest LEED rating (documented in the
Design Analysis) that the budgeted amount will allow, with the goal of being LEED certifiable.
