Because of the climate lack of rain a flat
roof (1/4" per foot of slope) with large overhangs
was selected to reduce cooling loads. The
exterior of the building will be faced with latex
stucco to have the same visual quality as the
regional adobe architecture, The fenestration of
the building is maximized on the northern
elevation and minimized on the southern to
reduce solar heat build-up in the Center.
