General Lamp Guidelines
Use lamps recommended by the manufacturer to meet the requirement. Different
manufacturers may meet the requirement using different lamps. In the interest of energy
conservation, the lower wattage lamps are preferred. When using lamps rated at 6.6
amps, they must be connected to individual 6.6/20A isolation transformers. When using
lamps rated at 20A, they must be connected to individual 20A/20A isolation
transformers. Use 200W isolation transformers, or as otherwise recommended by the
lamp manufacturer. If the overall mounting height is greater than 2 meters (6 feet), the
lights in a bar must be connected in series to the transformer specified in paragraph
13-9.5.7. Fixtures connected in series to a single isolating transformer must have
bypass relays to bypass failed lamps.
