Ground all stringing equipment such as reel stands, pullers, tensioners, and
other devices.

Provide a safety barrier around the equipment.

Install a running ground between pulling and tensioning equipment and their
adjacent structures.

Ground stringing blocks at first and last structures, and at least every 2 miles
(3.2 km) in between.

Ground stringing blocks at each structure on both sides of an energized circuit
being crossed. If the design of the circuit interrupting devices protecting the
lines so permits, the automated reclosing feature of those devices must be
made inoperative.
