and 49 CFR 195. Buried stainless steel corrodes and,
therefore, must be cathodically protected.
2.12.3 Structures. Obtain the services of a NACE-certified
engineer to evaluate the need for cathodic protection on steel
portions of fueling support facilities. Comply with
MIL-HDBK-1004/10 or Corps TM 5-811-7.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
2.13.1 General Policy. It is the firm policy of the
facilities in a manner that will prevent damage to the
environment by accidental discharge of fuels, their vapors or
residues. Designs must comply with foreign government,
national, state, and local environmental protection
regulations that are in effect at a particular facility.
