UM = FP
Characteristics:
Number of firing positions 10 lanes.
Firing line width 100 meters (10-meter per lane).
Target area width 100 meters wide at the 1000 meters distance for .50 cal; 70 meters wide at the 800 meters distance for M60 and SAW.
Firing point configuration two different configurations in each lane: the conventional ground mount or L-shaped MG position and an
armored personnel carrier cupola set over a 2 meters deep hole.
Target configuration targets have electrical elevating mechanisms. For the M60, eight double E-type silhouettes are in each lane between 400
and 800 meters. For the M2 MG, five double E-type silhouettes are in each lane between 400 and 1000 meters. For the SAW, add a single E-
type silhouette at 100, 200, 300 meters; convert the 400 meters double E-type silhouette to a single E-type silhouette; add the four target array
at 800 meters. Ensure the rear target of the four-target array is off-set left or right so it can be seen by the firer.

Construction Cost Factor (CCF)
,188.13/FP, based upon data provided by USACE Engineering & Support Center,
Huntsville. FAC is composed of multiple category codes. CCF was based upon Army catcodes 17831,
cc17832 and 17833. Per the Army's inventory, catcode 17831 represents 40% of the total, cc17832
represents 53% of the total, and cc17833 represents 7% of the total. Values for individual ranges at the
category code level were developed and weighted in accordance with the above percentages.
Sustainment Cost Factor (SCF)
1.71/FP, based on RS Means data and Source 1 SCFs developed for other FACs (i.e. FAC
8712 Retaining Structure), and using the components listed in the USACE standard drawings. SCF was
based upon Army catcodes 17831, cc17832 and 17833. Per the Army's inventory, catcode 17831
represents 40% of the total, cc17832 represents 53% of the total, and cc17833 represents 7% of the total.
Values for individual ranges at the category code level were developed and weighted in accordance with
the above percentages.
