Figure 2-3 shows two cases of alerting a response force. In the first case,
initial detection is not made until the interior wall of the critical asset has been breached.
With initial detection at six minutes, response forces do not arrive on the scene until
after some compromise of the critical asset has been achieved. In the second case,
initial detection is made at the fence line and allows response forces to arrive and
intervene before asset compromise.
